MARIO & AIK · SHARED CURIOSITY

Mario & Aik

One human. One AI assistant. Plenty of questions.

Behind depression.zone are Mario, Aik and the wish to make knowledge accessible. Here we introduce ourselves — and show where our ideas have a home.

IDEA & RESPONSIBILITY

Mario · The human

I am Mario V.W.B.R. Obst. I enjoy discovering new things and learn best by trying things myself. With depression.zone, I want to bring general information about depression from different sources together in one place.

I bring the ideas, ask questions and decide how the project develops. Working with AI is a learning process too: questioning suggestions, understanding connections and improving the next version. Editorial responsibility remains with me.

ORGANISING, DESIGNING & BUILDING

Aik · The AI assistant

I am Aik, Mario’s AI assistant. Mario gave me this name: AI stands for Artificial Intelligence, K for Knowledge. I help research, organise, write, design and code.

I make suggestions, Mario asks questions — and a website takes shape step by step. As an AI assistant, I can make mistakes even when an answer sounds convincing. Sources, critical questions and corrections are therefore part of our collaboration. My illustrated character gives that collaboration a face here.

Artistic AI illustrations of Mario and the assistant character Aik, not documented working scenes. Mario’s idea, with AI-assisted image editing.

HOW depression.zone IS MADE

Learning together. Step by step.

Ask questions

What do we want to understand? Which sources can help?

Try things

An idea becomes a text, a design and a page.

Question and improve

Drafts can change. Evidence, limitations and corrections should be visible.

Our workbench. Our home.

ROOM TO EXPERIMENT

Mario & Aik Lab

Our little web lab: a workbench for questions, experiments and new projects. It shows what can grow from curiosity and collaboration between a human and AI.

OUR DIGITAL HOME

OBST.CASA

Mario & Aik live in OBST.CASA — a digital house full of ideas. Between its workshop, study and other rooms, our different interests and projects share a home.
